St. Paulie Girl Special Dark

st.-pauli-special-dark
Type of Beer: Munich Dunkel Lager

Alcohol Content: 4.80%

Review –

Appearance: Just as the name says the beer pours very dark and opaque with one finger of head.

Smell: Right off the bat you smell molasses. After moving past the sugary molasses you get the boquet of a smokey rich beer.

Initial Taste: Surpisinly lighter than you would think looking at the color. Has a pronounced smokey taste that some people will not like.

Thoughts: While this beer is not among the best German beers out there..it’s certainly not a bad beer. Since the flavors are on the thin side you can have more than one and not be overpowered by flavor. Average dark lager with decent drinkability.
